Christ the King Catholic Parish, Owairaka is a large, vibrant and ethnically diverse parish formed in 1951. Our present church at has commanding views of Auckland city and the green volcanic cones prominent in the area: Owairaka (Mt Albert), Maungawhau (Mt Eden), Maungakiekie (One Tree Hill) and Puketapapa (Mt Roskill). This magnificent view of the city of Auckland and our Parish Mission Statement reminds us that as a community of faith centred in Christ, we are called to reach out to the world: “To live by faith, to be known by love and to be a voice of hope”
